Flowers and feathers and bow ties! Oh my!

You may say I'm not a big fan of winter. And you would be right. But still, even I can tell there's something magical in the moment when the snowflakes touch the sleepy ground for the very first time in the season. The breathtaking white carpet, sparkling beneath your feet and making your footsteps lighter and calmer. Somehow, snow brings peace to the land. And that's something we all might use these days.

While I was choosing what to wear to this snow-inspired photoshoot, my mind came across Russia. And immediately I knew I need to introduce my vintage flower embroidered vest to the world. To be honest, I'm not sure about the exact origin of this peace beacuse it was a gift from my mother while ago. But the thing I'm having no doubts in, is that I adore it although I don't wear it a lot. The full circle skirt was also my mum's, she had sewed it and I used to wear it as part of my witch costume during carnival when I was a kid, haha.

And what goes better with this weather than the feather? :) This beautiful head piece is a true work of art done by a wonderful lady behind the brand Jazzafine. Located in Germany, her handmade headpieces, fascinators & bridal accessoires soon became very popular around the globe and especially among vintage bloggers and pinup models. You can check her work on facebook or etsy.

The green headpiece has its green pair in a shape of this gorgeous velvet bow tie. You already know I am a big fan of menswear and accessories and this guy know his job (and apparently my taste) so well! I'm talking about a very cool brand born in San Francisco. I'm talking about A Cool Man! They believe that accessories are those that can make or break an outfit. And I'm above crazy in love with their collection of wide range accessories, form ties and pins to watches and bracelets. This particular bow tie is called Brummel and it's dandyism at it best! A fluffy, flamboyant and ultra-sophisticated pre-tied bow tie that shall give you the ultimate polished look. What else is there to say than : C'est si Beau!

Cat is not a part of the outfit. But she fits well, doesn't she?

  1. It's a stunning ensemble which puts me in mind of a 1940's glamour look! I think that your embroidered vest adds a lovely touch of uniqueness to the outfit, and your pops of emerald green really pull it together. Gorgeous! ❤

  4. This is an amazing shoot - that snowy backdrop of the forest, and your gorgeous ensemble. I did get a bit of a Russian, folk vibe from it, but that's good in my book! Absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing these x

  9. Ah that is Kalócsa Hungarian embroidery on that vest - which might be a part of the national costume - it looks like *might* for boys though! Not that that should deter anyone from wearing them haha. It looks great on you!

  10. Oh really, haha that is a really fun fact I didn't know that! I also heard that Poland has something similar in their culture so I guess all of the Slavic people have something in common. Thank you for sharing that!

  11. The complete start to finish Flower Delivery experience with this florist was perfect. She is extremely friendly, service oriented, and responsive to emails & phone calls. Even with a big event they were planning for one evening she still managed to take care of my one arrangement.
